Why buy?
A fragile beauty and an important lamp in Swedish design history.
Info:
Beautiful Karl Gustaf Lindesvärd design pendant light named ‘KG-armaturen’ nr 3610 for Bröderna Malmströms Metallvarufabrik Malmö Sweden in 1936.
It was mainly produced for public premises like the Swedish Post.
The KG luminaire consists of an opal cover and a clear glass lower bowl, which are held together by means of a metal ring. In the saucer are three conical rings of opal overhang. The rings rest in special ledges in the lower bowl. The upper shade has such a shape that the reflected light from it exits the luminaire with the least possible losses. Where the saucer meets the conical rings and at the bottom, the clear glass is frosted. The original glass comes from Swedish glass works, one of which was Rosdala Glassworks.

In a very good condition. Fragile lamp!

Diameter 33,5 cm (13.2′). Total height 57 cm (22.5′).
